Chilly Dog
HOME PRODUCTS SUPPORT

The Chilly Dog performs multiple functions that focus on keeping the K9 safe while allowing the handler to concentrate on daily operations. This is because the Chilly Dog will start the vehicle when the temperature reaches the set degree, and can report trouble via the optional pocket pager or by honking the vehicle horn if the temperature continues to climb. As the Chilly Dog has gained more exposure, we have found that dog professionals and enthusiast alike have embraced the safety and convenience that the Chilly Dog provides during daily travels.

The Chilly Dog can be fitted to most fuel injected gasoline or diesel powered vehicles. This system is designed to protect your canine against the kind of heat exhaustion that can be suffered when left inside an uncontrolled vehicle during warm weather. The Chilly Dog is the only canine temperature safety system that works automatically to regulate the vehicle's cabin temperature by starting your vehicle's engine and activating the circuits necessary to run the factory air conditioning system. It is estimated that the Chilly Dog will save over 300 engine run time hours annually compared to those systems that simply keep a vehicle running constantly. As a result, the Chilly Dog will provide greater safety to your canine as well as saving on fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance, and ware.

There is no other K9 safety system that automatically starts the vehicle based on cabin temperature.

Quick Comparison
Our system:
Easy to use, simply turn it on at the start of your day, and turn it off at the end of your day.
Starts and runs the vehicle only when needed saving on fuel consumption and maintenance costs.
12 minute run cycles negate the need for an idle controller “for diesel vehicles”.
Modular design makes reinstallation possible and extends system use in new vehicles.

Other systems:
The handler must remember to turn on the system for it to alert when the temperature is dangerously high.
Typically two independent systems are used to achieve similar ends:
They might use,
An engine secure run that requires the handler to manually activate the system before they leave the vehicle. The vehicle will then run constantly until the handler returns. If the vehicle engine stalls, it will not restart. These types of systems are typically coupled with a high temperature reporting device such as a pager, audible alert, or a window drop.

Options:
FLR-Flashing Relay.
PAGER-Remote High
Temperature Alert.
WDM-Window Drop
Module.
FLR:
Our Flashing Relay option provides an economical and effective way to alert when the cabin temperature climbs to dangerous levels. This unit is easy to install and very reliable.

PAGER:
Our high temperature reporting pager will notify the handler up to 1 mile away if the temperature inside the vehicle climbs to a dangerous level. Because this pager constantly updates with the vehicle, the pocket pager will generate an alert if the handler travels beyond the range of reception. The pager can be set for audible alert or vibrate.

WDM:
Our window drop module “WDM” can roll down 2 windows when the High temperature is reached.
